Producing a movie doesn't have to be difficult! With Gorilla, all of your information can be stored in one place: Budgeting, scheduling, crew, cast, profit-sharing, editing notes, and even film festival submissions.
When it's time to create reports, Gorilla can generate over 70 industry-standard reports, from stripboards to breakdown sheets, budget top sheets to variances, your entire production can be run from one program.
Gorilla is the only software package built with the independent producer in mind. You have to do it all, and Gorilla is with you every step of the way.
You don't have to be a student to buy the Student Edition -- all you need it an idea, a few people willing to work on your project, and a copy of Gorilla, the Student Edition. This edition includes everything you need to help put your production together.
Student Edition Features:
14 Shoot Days/per project
50,000 Budget/per project
Gorilla 4's New Features
New Gorilla Interface
We’ve designed a new, updated interface that makes navigation and working on your projects easier and better.
Element Linking
Gorilla now gives you the ability to create a Link Group and then attach multiple elements to that group. When you attach that element to a breakdown sheet all linked elements will also be automatically attached. You can create multiple link groups for each element, for example: Hero in Tuxedo (Elements attached: Black Tuxedo, Top Hat, Diamond Pinkie Ring), Hero on Safari (Elements attached: Explorer Hat, Knife, Canteen, Monkey).
Element Blackout
Specify blackout dates for any element (character, prop, set dressing, etc.) and when printing a report which specifies which elements are to be used for that day or when saving changes on the stripboard, a conflict message will appear. You can ignore the conflict message, or run a report that displays what elements conflict with which shoot days.
Colored Shot List
Color code your shot types (M.S., C.U., E.C.U.) for easier control on the set. Print out your shot lists sorted by color, set-up order or script order.
Attach Cast Members to Each Shot
Go to any scene, then any shot and attach cast members needed for that shot. You can then print a report specifying which actors are needed for which shots.
Over 3000 Labor and Union Rates
Gorilla has the most extensive Labor Rate Guide with over 3000 up-to-date rates, including SAG rates for low budget and indie films. With Gorilla’s Ratebook attachment, easily attach a rate to any detail line item with simple, pop-up driven menu’s. (Labor rates sold separately)
Automatic Email
You can now automatically send an e-mail addressed to all your crew, actors, vendors and any other contact, directly from Gorilla. Simply find the people you want to e-mail and select Send E-Mail from the new E-Mail menu in the Contacts module. Your e-mail program will automatically open and populate the To: field with your recipients.
