CanoScan scanners may be slim, but they can tackle the big jobs. The exclusive Z-Lid expansion top (available on most models) lifts up to 1" high and stays flat for scanning books and magazines. Other scanner covers lift only at an angle - not lying flat for thick items, resulting in poor scans. Unique to the CanoScan LiDE scanner series is the single cable connection for both power and data transfer - no bulky AC adapter required.
